Raise Your Vibration, Improve Your Energy
If you’re ever wondering to yourself, how can I increase my energetic vibration? How can I show up more vibrant, conscious and authentic? Well girl, you’re not alone, because asking those questions is how I got here… Writing this article for a community I created out of a deep sense of longing and purpose to help others elevate their Mind, Body and Spirit.
So I’ve got you! Let’s dig in…
Raising your energetic vibration involves aligning your thoughts and emotions, actions, and environment, with the higher frequencies of joy, love, and balance.
Everything in the Universe—including you!—is made of energy that vibrates at different frequencies. Think of your energetic vibration like your personal frequency or the "vibe" you give off.
Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt good energy - or, on the flip side, sensed something felt off? That’s because energy is constantly moving, and we naturally pick up on its different vibrations. Since we are also vibration, we feel these shifts. It’s just a matter of tuning into it.
Your energetic vibration shifts based on your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Here’s a simple breakdown:
High Vibration → You feel light, joyful, peaceful, grateful, and full of love. You attract more positive experiences and feel in flow with life.
Low Vibration → You feel heavy, drained, anxious, angry, or stuck. You may notice more stress, negativity, or challenges showing up.
What Affects Your Vibration?
Your vibration is influenced by:
✔️ Your thoughts and self-talk
✔️ The people you surround yourself with
✔️ The food and media you consume
✔️ Your daily habits and environment
✔️ How well you take care of your Body, Mind, and Spirit
Raising your vibration isn’t about being positive all the time—it’s about choosing energy that aligns with your highest self.
Below, I’ve composed a quick checklist of things you could be doing to work on raising your vibration everyday!
Check it out:
1. Nourish Your Body with “High-Vibe”Foods
AKA Eat whole, nutrient-dense foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, organic meats, and whole grains like oats and home-made sourdough.
Stay hydrated with clean, energized water (try adding lemon or herbal infusions!)
Limit or eliminate processed foods, artificial additives, and excess sugar
2. Engage in Conscious Movement
Move your body in ways that FEEL GOOD - yoga, dancing, walking, stretching, lifting, running, etc. Choose something you LIKE, and will do, and do it 5-7 days a week. Bonus points if you like a few things, and can switch it up. Extra bonus points if you just start walking daily for 30-45 minutes. You can never go wrong with walking!
Spend time in nature to absorb Earth's natural frequency (earthing/grounding)
Practice deep breathing to circulate fresh energy through your system - Visualize inhaling beautiful white light, and exhaling dusty darkness as you do. I’ve always found this helpful!
3. Create Positive Thoughts & Emotions
Practice gratitude daily—focus on what’s abundant in your life. I’m sure you’ve heard this like a broken record, and that’s because it’s true. Starting and/or ending your day with gratitude practices, helps you draw focus on what’s GOOD in your life.
Speak kindly to yourself. Give yourself some grace. Try to replace self-criticism with self-compassion and curiosity. If you notice negative self-talk, get curious… Ask that part of you what it’s afraid of, and sit with what comes up for you.
Release fear-based thinking and shift toward Faith, and belief. Transforming fear into Faith takes a lot of practice. I took a deep dive in this article here.
4. Clear & Protect Your Energy
Take salt baths, use sage or palo santo, or visualize white light cleansing your aura. Which method you choose is not so important as creating a practice of cleansing for yourself. I’m a fan of sage, even though my boo hates the smell! I also like to visualize cleansing my energetic field when bathing, and using scrubs. It’s all about what’s happening IN YOUR MIND, and less about what’s happening in reality.
Limit exposure to draining people, media, and environments. Seriously. Step away from the energy vampires. Turn off notifications. Stop arguing with people over politics. Settle down. Create some space. And work on creating peace. Peace begins with you.
Set energetic boundaries—be mindful of where you invest your energy. It’s okay to say NO. In fact it’s more than okay to say NO. If something drains you, or bothers you, step away. You don’t actually own anyone an explanation for taking care of your peace and your energy.
5. Try a High-Vibe Activity
Listen to uplifting music or healing frequencies (432 Hz, 528 Hz). You can find frequency playlists all over Spotify!
Do things that bring you joy regularly. Create art, laugh and play, visit with friends, take a hike in nature, travel to a new city. Whatever your flavor is, sprinkle it into your life!
Spend time with people who uplift and inspire you. Seriously. We are the result of the five people we spend the most time with… choose those people wisely. Don’t be an asshole, but choose wisely.
6. Get Spiritual, Connect with Your Higher Self
Meditate or sit in stillness to tune into your energy. Listen in the silence for guidance from your Higher Self, your Parts, God, your spirit guides… Messages come to us in stillness. This enhances our Faith in our connection to something larger than ourselves, and our belief that that something has the best intentions for us.
Journal your thoughts, emotions, and intuitive insights. I can never speak enough to the journaling process. Just start.
Practice mindfulness and presence. Embrace the NOW.
7. Release What No Longer Serves You
Let go of limiting beliefs and emotional baggage. If this sounds like a tall order, take a look at our resources page for several guides and workbooks to get you started!
Forgive yourself and others to free up energetic space. Forgiveness is never about “letting them off the hook”, it’s about your own peace. You may never get the apology, or the closure. Forgive them for yourself.
Declutter your physical space—create an environment that feels light and expansive! If you’re not sure how to get going on this, we’ve got a blog post for that too!
8. Align with Your Purpose, Live Authentically
Do what feels TRUE to you, rather than what pleases others. I just did a deep dive on this on the blog, right here.
Follow your passions and intuition without fear. Move forward with Faith.
Live in integrity with your values. Align what you think, and believe with what you say and do.
Your energy is constantly shifting, and small, intentional actions can create a big vibrational shift. Which of these feels most resonant to you right now?
So, what kinds of questions can you ask yourself to garner a deeper understanding of your own energetic field?
No worries… I’ve got on that front too:
Regarding Your Physical Energy
Do I wake up feeling refreshed, or do I start my day feeling drained?
How does my body feel right now—light, tense, sluggish, or energized?
What foods and activities make me feel vibrant, and which ones deplete me?
Do I honor my body’s need for rest, movement, and nourishment?
Am I holding onto tension anywhere in my body?
Regarding Your Emotional Energy
What emotions have I been experiencing most often?
Do I feel emotionally drained after certain interactions or activities?
Am I carrying emotions that don’t feel like mine?
How do I process and release emotions—do I allow them to flow or suppress them?
What people, places, or activities uplift my emotional state?
Regarding Your Mental Energy
What thoughts dominate my mind—are they empowering or exhausting?
Am I overthinking or mentally overstimulated?
How do I recharge my mental energy when I feel overwhelmed?
Am I consuming too much information, or am I allowing space for stillness?
How do I speak to myself, and does my inner dialogue feel energizing or draining?
Regarding Your Spiritual Energy
Do I feel connected to something greater than myself?
Am I living in alignment with my values and purpose?
What practices help me feel spiritually energized (meditation, nature, journaling, etc.)?
Are there energetic cords I need to cut—relationships, situations, or habits that no longer serve me?
How does my energy shift when I’m engaging in things that bring me joy?
Regarding Your Energetic Boundaries
Do I take on other people’s emotions or energy too easily?
How do I protect my own energy in challenging environments?
Am I setting boundaries that support my well-being?
Do I feel safe expressing my true energy, or do I dim my light for others?
Where in my life do I need to reclaim my power?
By reflecting on these questions, you can gain a deeper understanding of your energy and how to nurture and protect it.
Your vibration affects what you attract into your life. When you consciously raise your energy, you become a magnet for better experiences, deeper connections, and overall well-being.
This week, start paying attention to your energetic state—how do different people, places, and habits make you feel? When you shift your energy, you shift your life!
